About Kistler Cuvée Natalie Pinot Noir

Kistler Cuvée Natalie Pinot Noir is a wood-aged red wine made by Kistler with the Pinot Noir variety in AVA Sonoma Valley, California (USA).
 
Founded in 1978 by Steve Kistler and Mark Bixler, the Kistler winery enjoyed immediate success thanks to Steve’s in-depth knowledge of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties and Mark’s fantastic business management. Together they make a good team and it wasn’t long before their wines became cult productions that can only be acquired by being on their client list. But now you can also buy this wine from Decántalo! 
 
Kistler Cuvée Natalie Pinot Noir comes from the winery’s oldest soils with iron oxide and gravel components. The vines are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture with limited yields and the harvest takes place at night to preserve the intrinsic qualities of the fruit. 
 
In the winery, the Kistler Cuvée Natalie Pinot Noir grapes are meticulously selected and crushed to begin minimal intervention vinification. The grapes then ferment with native yeasts at a moderate temperature and finally the wine ages in oak barrels.
 
Kistler Cuvée Natalie Pinot Noir is an extremely aromatic and expressive cuvée. A limited production, Bordeaux-style Pinot Noir made from a Californian Grand Cru. 
 
2017 Kistler Cuvée Natalie Pinot Noir 2017 is a smooth red wine that opens with aromas of red and black fruits like cherries, raspberries and berries mixed with hints of violets, mint and lavender. On the palate it is delicate, fresh and very balanced. A flavoursome medium-bodied wine with silky tannins and bright acidity. The finish is lingering and very mineral. This wine has an excellent aging potential of many years.

Kistler Cuvée Natalie Pinot Noir 2016 is a smooth white. The nose is quite intense, with aromas of truffle, earth, bark, plums and raspberry. The palate is flavoursome, velvety and full-bodied. Notes of blackberries and earth. Very long finish with minerals and spices.
