From the stark lines of modern architecture to the meandering rows of vineyards, the journey of Pasquale Mitrano and Elisabetta Luorio has been a profound pivot. As architects, they spent years crafting edifices that shaped the cityscape, yet at some juncture, the call of the soil became too compelling to dismiss. It was then that they resolved to exchange blueprints and boardroom meetings for the enological realm. Within the family estate of 14 hectares nestled in the borough of Torchiara, in the province of Salerno, Campania (Italy), its rolling hills and endless vineyard rows henceforth became their canvas, and each vine, a living masterpiece.

Under the moniker Casebianche, in tribute to the neighborhood where the winery is situated, Pasquale and Elisabetta unveil low-intervention creations that eloquently express the essence of the locale. Among them, Casebianche Iscadoro Affinato In Anfora is a blend of indigenous varietals fiano, malvasía, and trebbiano. These fruitful vines thrive in clay and limestone soils and are cultivated using purely organic methods. Following a manual harvest, the grapes are meticulously selected and gently crushed, and with the extracted juice, fermentation commences in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine matures on fine lees for 8 months prior to amphora bottling.
