About Azpilicueta Rosado

Azpilicueta Rosado is a rosé wine from the DOCa. La Rioja produced by the Faustino winery. It is a coupage of the Viura and Tempranillo varieties.
The Viura plots are located entirely in the region of La Rioja Alta; the vineyard from which the Tempranillo grape originates is located in the town of Fuenmayor.
After the corresponding harvesting processes and once in the winery, the Azpilicueta Rosado berries macerate cold for a few hours. The must is then obtained afterwards by the bleeding method and a racking is performed.
After the must has been cleaned, a slow fermentation is carried out at controlled low temperatures.
Azpilicueta Rosado is the winery's response to a market that has been growing notably in recent years, that of the DOCa. La Rioja rosé wine.
2022 Azpilicueta Rosado 2022 is a wine with aromas of fruits like grapefruit, lime, pineapple, apricot and fresh red fruits on the nose. On the palate, its intense fruit character is reaffirmed with a refreshing acidity. An exuberant and fresh rosé wine.
2014 Possessing a superb acidity, it exhibits an exceptional vibrancy.

A hue of extremely pale and subtle pink.

Robust in character, it displays a profusion of tropical fruits, hints of citrus, and nuances of stone fruit.
