About Origen de Resalte

Origen de Resalte is a monovarietal Tempranillo red wine produced by Resalte de Peñafiel and rated as a DO. Ribera del Duero wine.

Resalte de Peñafiel is a winery located in Peñafiel that produces wines from the DO. Ribera del Duero. It was founded in 2000 and produces modern and complex wines. All its wines are Tempranillo, a variety that is native to the area. It owns 80 hectares of vineyard with different facings, altitudes and types of soil, enabling it to produce wines with different profiles.

The vineyards forOrigen de Resalte have an average age of 30 years and produce around 4,500 kg/hectare, a low yield that guarantees that the grape is balanced and concentrated and that it ripens optimally.

Origen de Resalte is produced by working under gravity in the cellar to respect the grape and must as much as possible. It macerates for a number of hours at 8ºC to extract fresh and fruity aromas and fine tannins, and ferments at a maximum temperature of 30ºC. It macerates with the skins for about 14 months in oak barrels, 80% of which are French and the rest American. At least one third of the barrel stock is renewed annually.

Origen de Resalte is a powerful, firm and elegant wine, which balances the fruit and the touches of barrel and has a lingering finish.
