About Lecco Crianza

Lecco Crianza is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Bodegas Resalte de Peñafiel.

This wine is a monovarietal (100%) Tempranillo, whose grapes come from vineyards aged 30 years or more that are planted in different soils. The different soils give the grapes different characteristics which will later be displayed in the wine, making a powerful, complex and elegant wine.

With regard to the production of Lecco Crianza, malolactic and alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The grapes macerate with the skins for a total of 15-20 days, and all the operations are performed by gravity to respect the grapes and must-wine to the full.

Once the fermentation is finished, Lecco Crianza is transferred by gravity to the barrel, where it is aged for 14 months in barrels that are 70% French, 30% American oak.

Lecco Crianza 2020 unveils a spectrum of scents with prominent ripe cherries and plums, interwoven with a hint of smooth vanilla and sweet spices. On the palate, it is succulent and harmonious, featuring a revitalizing acidity and refined tannins that beckon another taste. Its finish is enduring, imparting a delightful sense of vivacity, courtesy of its balsamic notes. This red wine is a congenial partner for any event, revealing the quintessence of its provenance with every glass.
 
2014 Lecco Crianza 2014 is a red wine that offers plum, cherry and smoky flavours supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and a fresh acidity. It also displays balsamic touches, and earthy notes that mix together in the finish.
2007 Great volume and structure on the palate. Noteworthy red and dark fruits with toasted tannins. Long and persistent finish.

Cherry red hue with a medium robe. Clear and bright.

Complex and elegant nose. Excellent intensity, red fruit aromas, coffee, spices and a hint of minerals.
