About La Valle Franciacorta Brut Satén

Indeed, in Italian, "Satèn" literally means "silk", but in the world of wine, it takes on an even more enchanting meaning. In Franciacorta, Satèn is not a fabric, but a style of sparkling wine that captivates the senses with its fine, creamy bubbles and velvety texture on the palate. Its carbon dioxide content is slightly lower than that of traditional Brut, and this detail makes all the difference, as each sip gently caresses, like a silky touch.

One of the finest examples of this style is La Valle Franciacorta Brut Satèn, crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc varieties. It is a special interpretation of a Franciacorta, a harmonious marriage of sunshine and white grapes, where during the tirage, the phase in which sugar and yeasts are added to initiate the second fermentation in the bottle, less sugar is added to achieve this final silkiness. Lastly, a long aging period of 48 months on lees is undertaken to acquire complexity and depth.
