Beneath the motto “From nature, for nature” lies an entire philosophy that has taken shape over the past decades in modern viticulture. Since the late 20th century, producers have begun to reconsider how to care for their vineyards, inspired by movements advocating for sustainability, biodynamics, and organic viticulture.
Within this spirit, Bodega La Valle was established in 1991 in Rodengo Saiano, at the heart of Franciacorta (Lombardy). The winery takes its name from the family's principal estate, Pezzola, known as “La Valle,” owned by the family since 1890, in a beautiful hilly area that has always been cherished by them.
It all began in a historic 15th-century winery that was completely remodeled by the family. There, a space was created exclusively dedicated to vinification and aging, blending innovation and technology with tradition and passion. Poetry and technique, past and future merge into a single reality, fully reflected in their motto: “From nature, for nature”.
A perfect example of their expertise is La Valle Franciacorta Brut Regium, a noble Franciacorta DOCG derived from Chardonnay vineyards cultivated on mineral-rich soils, imparting a unique and elegant profile to the grapes. The harvest is meticulous, and the grapes swiftly reach the winery to begin a process that is a true work of craftsmanship. The grapes are gently pressed, and the must is clarified before initiating alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures. Then, the wine matures for an extended period on its fine lees, developing complexity and structure, leading to the secondary fermentation in the bottle, which creates the delicate bubbles characteristic of this sparkling wine. After reaching optimal maturity, the wine is disgorged, and the classic dosage is added before being released to the market.
Preserving the quality and authentic character of this wine, La Valle Franciacorta Brut Regium perfectly embodies the winery's philosophy. A sparkling wine born from nature and crafted to be enjoyed.
