About Perelada Jardins Negre

In the mid-19th century, Conde de Perelada commissioned François Duvillers to design the gardens of his castle. The renowned landscape architect, who enjoyed great acclaim at that time, combined the structure of Chantilly and Versailles with the aesthetics of the most elegant English gardens. The result was spectacular, with over 158 species (both native and exotic) that transformed this outdoor area into a true luxury. Today, as a tribute to this history, Perelada Jardins Negre is born. 
 
The varieties garnatxa negra, samsó, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, and cabernet franc are used in crafting this fluid and fresh red wine, which originates from a blend of sandy and gravelly soils. The prevailing climate is Mediterranean, with scarce rainfall and high temperatures in summers, which are mitigated by the Tramontana winds. 
 
Regarding the rest of the winemaking process, Perelada Jardins Negre stands out for its expertise and quality, consistently showing great respect for both the terroir and each vinification process. The work on Perelada Jardins Negre begins with manual selection and harvesting, ensuring at all times that the grape clusters arrive in perfect condition at the winery. Here, Perelada Jardins Negre is crushed and processed, moving directly to fermentation tanks where it will macerate for a period. It is here that alcoholic fermentation occurs, thanks to the action and work of indigenous yeasts. Finally, once the process is complete, Perelada Jardins Negre is racked, pressed, and bottled, ready to be enjoyed.

Perelada Jardins Negre 2022 is a smooth, pale cherry red with violet hues. The nose is very intense, with hints of fresh fruit. The palate is sweet and smooth, fresh and balanced, with very soft and silky tannins. Very pleasant on the palate. Long and flavoursome finish.
2018 Jardins Negre is a fluid, fruity and light wine. Very aromatic. The aromas of red and black fruit stand out. In the mouth it is easy to drink and quite long lasting.
