About Lammidia Panda 2022

It is said that in Abruzzo (Italy), when envy lurks and fortune hides, there exists an ancient ritual capable of restoring balance: a few drops of oil, a bowl of water, and the magical words of a nonna. Thus, Lammidia was born when wise grandmother Antonia cast her spell over a rebellious must that refused to ferment... and magic did the rest. Since then, every harvest begins with this protective gesture, ensuring that nothing —not even the evil eye— interferes with the wine.

In Villa Celiera, at an altitude of 714 metres with the sea in view, Davide and Marco have spent years defying the conventions of traditional oenology. Friends since childhood and united by curiosity, they work without chemicals, without external oenologists, and with no script other than nature's dictates. In their winery —where amphorae, fibreglass, and cement tanks with glass lids coexist— everything is about experimentation, risk, and absolute respect for the grape.

Lammidia Panda is the house's most iconic rosé wine, crafted from the Montepulciano and moscato rosa varieties, harvested early to preserve freshness and avoid undesirable aromas. Direct pressing and ageing in fibreglass result in a wine of high acidity, clean and vibrant, where the fruit expresses itself boldly: notes of peach sorbet, hints of apricot and rosewater, a nod to vanilla and lime, and a playful palate with effervescent candy fizz and a slight tannic pulse.
