About Kamil Barczentewicz Pinot Noir Dobre Minor
Although today 70% of global production remains concentrated in just ten countries, the true revolution lies not in large volumes... but in the small surprises that emerge where no one expects them. Countries like Poland, which until a few decades ago were absent from any wine map, are beginning to make waves. And not only domestically, as curious oenophiles from around the world are already taking note.
One of the leading names in this new wave is Kamil Barczentewicz, a young oenologist who, after training in France and Austria, decided to return home, to the east of Poland, and transform the family vineyard into a benchmark winery. Thus, Winnica Kamil Barczentewicz was born, located in the Małopolska region, with just 12 hectares but a clear ambition: to produce wines that can stand alongside the greats, yet with their own distinct identity.
And he is certainly achieving it. His Kamil Barczentewicz Pinot Noir Dobre Minor was acclaimed as the best Polish red wine at the Polskie Korki 2022 competition in Poznań, and not by chance. This pinot noir, crafted from noble German clones planted atop a hill and fermented with indigenous yeasts in open oak vats, is a statement of intent. Precision, character, and terroir in their purest form.
In a world where wine is rapidly globalising, Kamil Barczentewicz Pinot Noir Dobre Minor demonstrates that new voices not only have something to say but are also reshaping the narrative. Poland, against all odds, is no longer a distant promise... It is a new cardinal point on the wine map.
