Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7 Años rum is a mahogany-colored rum with aromas reminiscent of toasted coconut, vanilla and fruit (figs). Delicious honey and chocolate nuances develop on the palate. A long, smooth rum with no artificial ingredients or added sugar.

About Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7 Years Old Rum

Alfredo Francis Pellas Canessa was a young Italian (from Genoa, to be precise) who left everything behind to go and try his luck in Nicaragua. His first step was to invest in a steamship company that covered the route between the U.S. coasts. However, the arrival of the railroad soon forced him to look for other ways of doing business. Thus, in 1890, right in the shadow of the San Cristobal volcano (the highest in Nicaragua), he set up his new company: the Flor de Caña distillery. Today, several centuries later, this distillery continues to produce products that are now classified as premium category, such as the Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7 Años rum.

Specifically, this rum is produced using fully sustainable methods directly next to the San Cristobal volcano, the highest and most active in the country. In fact, Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7 Años rum avails itself of all this giant’s resources: the volcanic soil (highly fertile thanks to the ashes that are continuously expelled), mineral water (very enriched) and the climate (high temperatures). All of this blends together to create the perfect combination for the production and aging of this marvelous libation, resulting in an exceptionally smooth rum aged for seven years in white oak barrels.

What’s more, Flor de Caña Gran Reserva 7 Años rum is also a kosher product. This means it is totally suitable for the Jewish community and strictly complies with all of the religion’s precepts of elaboration.
