The name itself speaks volumes: "Au Fil du Temps," or in other words, "over the course of time" or "with the passage of time." A nod to patience, evolution, to that magic only time can unveil. And also to the way Emmanuel Darnaud works, a vigneron who began in 2001 with 1.5 hectares leased and who is now a prominent figure in the northern Rhône.

Emmanuel Darnaud Crozes-Hermitage Au Fil du Temps is born from a small vineyard gem in the AOC Crozes-Hermitage. Just over one hectare of 35-year-old syrah, planted on compacted pebble soils. Here, organic farming is not a mere slogan, but a way of living the vineyard (and certified by Ecocert since 2023, in case there were any doubts).

The production of Emmanuel Darnaud Crozes-Hermitage Au Fil du Temps is pure savoir-faire. It all begins with partial destemming, followed by precise fermentation in stainless steel and concrete tanks, where punching down and pumping over are applied to extract the very best from the syrah. The ageing, lasting up to 18 months, takes place in barrels.
