Château La Louvière 2022 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe black fruit, notes of violet flowers and hints of spice and mint. On the palate it is meaty, pleasant and well balanced. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with integrated acidity, fine tannins and a taut, fresh finish.

About Château La Louvière

Coming from a family with a long winemaking tradition in Bordeaux, André Lurton was an influential winemaker and vineyard owner in the Bordeaux region. During his career, he deployed a great deal of knowledge and experience in the production of high-quality wines. He was a leader in the application of advanced winegrowing techniques and experimentation with different grape varieties and winemaking methods. He was the owner of prestigious vineyards, and in the case of Château La Louvière, he was responsible for reviving it after mismanagement by the previous owners. Through his innovative approach and constant search for excellence, this property located east of Léognan in the Graves area southwest of Bordeaux, has been recognised for the exceptional quality of its wines and its contribution to the prestige of the Bordeaux region.

The fruit of a 61-hectare vineyard with gravelly, siliceous and calcareous soils, Château La Louvière was born from a perfect knowledge of the soil and respectful management. A coupage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot , the grapes are harvested by hand with multiple passes in order to harvest only well-ripened grapes. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation is carried out with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

A pioneer in the application of advanced winegrowing techniques and experimentation with different grape varieties and winemaking methods, with Château La Louvière, André Lurton demonstrates his immense talent. A highly attractive, round and fruity integrated Cru from Pessac-Léognan AOC.
