Wines produced at the Mas Candí winery

Since the 17th century, the Cuscó family has been cultivating the lands of Les Gunyoles (Avinyonet del Penedès), adjacent to the Garraf Natural Park. In 2005, Ramon Jané (an oenologist trained in Burgundy and Champagne) and Mercè Cuscó established the Mas Candí winery. He brings a profound respect for nature, preserving his grandparents' vineyards and reviving ancestral grape varieties.

Currently, they manage 20 hectares of organically certified vineyards. The philosophy of Mas Candí is rooted in minimal intervention to respect the grape and the wine to the fullest extent. From the outset, they have championed the indigenous varieties Xarel·lo and Sumoll, which are well-suited to the region. This meticulous care throughout the process ensures wines that are a true reflection of their terroir and a testament to the passion for the winemaking heritage of Penedès.

The Ramon Jané Viticultor project was initiated to explore the production of natural wines without sulphites, seeking a different profile from the wines the family has traditionally produced at Celler Mas Candí. While at the Mas Candí winery they produce wines under DO Penedès and Corpinnat, Ramon Jané Viticultor focuses on natural wines without designation of origin.
