The gestation of a cat, the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly, the lunar cycle change… Many fascinating events can occur in just a few months, precisely the same time a red wine requires to begin to excel and transform into an outstanding Vino Roble.

Between three and six months of aging in barrels is the requisite period for a red wine to be deemed a Vino Roble. This category, exclusive to reds, encompasses those wines that, while still youthful, have already had contact with wood. Although the barrel has yet to tame the fruit's intensity, Vinos Robles already start to exhibit subtle toasted notes reminiscent of cocoa or coffee, adding complexity while preserving the freshness and youthfulness so characteristic of this type of wine.
