About Saltimbanqui Sauvignon Blanc

Saltimbanqui Sauvignon Blanc is a young white wine made with the Sauvignon blanc variety in the D.O. Rueda by the Bodega Javier Sanz Viticultor for Aribau.

Aribau is a family business with more than 50 years of winemaking experience, launching their own wines in 2012 under the Saltimbanqui label with the help of winemaker Javier Sanz. This brand reflects the innovative and modern feel that Aribau have always wanted to be known for.

Saltimbanqui Sauvignon Blanc comes from vines over 25 years old, planted in stony terroir and cultivated using trellises. The harvest is carried out mechanically, at night and using an integrated destemming machine when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

In the winery, Saltimbanqui Sauvignon Blanc goes through a cold maceration process, clarifying the must through gravity for a day. Fermentation happens slowly at a temperature no higher than 15°C in stainless steel tanks.

2018 Saltimbanqui Sauvignon Blanc 2018 is an aromatic white wine with fragrances of tropical fruits, white flowers and herbs. It is medium-bodied with a balanced acidity, the palate is fresh, fruity and subtly mineral.
