Podere Le Boncie Le Trame is an organic cask-made red wine from Podere Le Boncie with Sangiovese grapes in the IGP Toscana denomination of origin (Italy).
Podere Le Boncie is a family-run winery located in the hamlet of San Felice on the southern level of the Toscana area. A small estate of just three hectares managed by Giovanna Morganti where Sangiovese and other Tuscan varieties are grown. The result is an extraordinary earthy, charming and very elegant wine.
Podere Le Boncie Le Trame comes from a vineyard planted at an altitude of 300-350 meters above sea level in the heart of Toscana. They’re 15 year old vines and work is carried out according to the general principles of the biodynamic movement, and grapes are harvested by hand.
The vinification of Podere Le Boncie Le Trame begins by selecting the best grapes, destemming and crushing them. Fermentation is carried out traditionally in open-top wooden tanks with native yeasts and without using oenological additives. The wine is then aged in medium sized wooden barrels and finally remains in the bottle for 6 months before being released on the market.
Under the name "Le Trame" (the intrigues) Podere Le Boncie Le Trame presents itself as an intriguing and very special wine. An authentic production which is a milestone for both natural wine producers and those who produce Toscana.
