Champagne Brut.

Pierre Gimonnet Brut Rosé Cuis Premier Cru is a very pale pink fruity sparkling wine. On the nose there is citrus combined with red forest fruits and a mineral background. On the palate it is fresh, lively and elegant. A medium-bodied champagne with marked acidity and a chalky finish.

About Pierre Gimonnet Brut Rosé Cuis Premier Cru

Pierre Gimonnet has surprised everyone with Pierre Gimonnet Brut Rosé Cuis Premier Cru, his first rosé champagne. This is a sparkling wine made in the AOC Champagne with the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties, with no more than 15,000 bottles produced each year.

The Gimonnet name has been linked to the AOC Champagne for more than two centuries, but it wasn’t until 1955, when Michel Gimonnet came along that this winery really found its style. These Blanc de Blancs come from their vineyards in the Côte de Blancs, from the “Cuis” Premier Cru and the Gramant and Chouilly Grand Crus. They are vibrant, refreshing and very mineral champagnes.

Most of the fruit used to make Pierre Gimonnet Brut Rosé Cuis Premier Cru is Chardonnay with a small amount of Pinot Noir. They are cultivated using traditional agriculture with a limited yield and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

In the winery, Pierre Gimonnet Brut Rosé Cuis Premier Cru is made with a wine base where red wine is added to white wine. It is then bottled and the second fermentation follows the traditional method.

Although Gimonnet prefers Blanc de Blancs, this rosé champagne, Pierre Gimonnet Brut Rosé Cuis Premier Cru is a clear example of how he has mastered the Chardonnayvariety.
