About Pas Curtei

This wine made of 60% Merlot from vines aged of 25-30 years, 20% of Cabernet Sauvignon from vines aged of about 25 and Carignan grapes from vines aged of more than 60 years is a very good option to discover a local Penedès wine, different, more complex and deeper than usual, and with an excellent value for money. After the meticulous cares of the vineyards, the harvest is manually conducted in small boxes. Grapes undergo a separate winemaking according to the variety. They undergo a prefermentation at cold temperatures and a fermentation in tanks. This wine is macerated with the skins and aged in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new and 75% of third year, after which the final blend is made. Limited production: 8,000 bottles. We recommend decanting an hour before tasting the wine. A wine that will improve after a few more years in the bottle.
2009 Good and embracing attack with notes of black fruit and a delicate surprising touch of citrus and a silky and fresh mid palate. Balanced acidity and polished tannins. Long and very persistent finish that leaves a mineral aftertaste.

Intense and bright attractive maroon colour, with purple reflections. Good tears.

Deep and fresh aromas. It takes time to open up. First, its mineral and stone aromas appear along with its smoked notes. When it opens up, very expressive notes of black fruit are released, well integrated with the toasted and milky notes.
2006 Fresh entry, with touches of citrus. Velvety, with good tannins, with fruit that we have seen in the nose, wide and with a wood almost negligible. Wine that fills the mouth.

Intense garnet color with violet undertones.

First, it appears a bit closed, as time passes, it opens allowing to appear a lot of fruit (mostly black) evolving into toast notes.
