About Partida Pedrer

Partida Pedrer 2014 is a red wine naturally aged in a cement tank and made with organic Garnacha Tinta grapes. A wonderful red made by Sara i René Viticultors in the D.O.Q. Priorat (Catalonia).
 
Sara i René Viticultors is run by a winemaking couple with a fascinating range of wines. They are both children of prestigious winemakers who were known for rediscovering Priorat (Luis Pérez de Mas Martinet and René Barbier de Clos Morgador). This couple are now putting into practice the wisdom and passion for wine they inherited from their parents. The Bellvisos project started with a small abandoned plot in the town of Gratallops (Tarragona) that the couple cultivated to express the full Priorat typicity without added products. 
 
Partida Pedrer comes from young vines planted in slate soils and facing north to benefit from the cool, shady side of the mountain and the warmth of the morning sun. They are cultivated entirely using organic farming and with non-invasive organic treatments. All the work is manual with the help of a mule and the harvest is carried out at the right time to make sure there is not too much sugar. 
 
Partida Pedrer macerates in the winery, partly whole and partly crushed for 8-10 days. Then it begins spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and ages in cement vats. Finally the wine is bottled without any additives. 
 
Partida del Pedrer is a challenging wine to make. It is a natural red wine with a pure expression and no additives of any kind. Pure Priorat.
 
2021
Partida Pedrer 2021 is a sculpted and vivacious red wine that unveils on the nose with fragrances reminiscent of wild berries, complemented by hints of herbs, botanicals, and florals. On the palate, it cascades with a cool and forthright presence, boasting a finesse that is both delicate and ethereal. This red wine is sophisticated and harmonious, markedly different from other reds of the Priorat; it is expressive, fruit-forward, and immensely appealing.
 
2014 Partida Pedrer 2014 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of red forest fruits, herbaceous notes and earthy and mineral hints. On the palate it is velvety, pleasant and balanced. A wine with an attractive structure, silky texture and a long and very elegant finish.
