About Mascorrubí Moneu

There are flavours that seemed to have slumbered in the landscape's memory. The moneu is one of those varieties that time nearly erased, yet today it re-emerges with the force of a joyful memory, like a summer siesta beneath the fig tree. At Heretat Mascorrubí, reviving this grape is also an act of personal remembrance, a way to once again walk barefoot through the fields at the grandparents' homestead, as Ernest Pérez-Mas, the winery's owner, did as a child.
 
Founded on lands that have been linked to the vine since 1279, Heretat Mascorrubí is more than an estate: it is a testament to respect for nature and heritage. With organic vineyards over 500 metres above sea level in Pla de Manlleu (Tarragona), the winery employs traditional varieties and regenerative techniques, blending ancestral wisdom with contemporary sensibility to craft wines with soul and conscience.
 
Mascorrubí Moneu is a distinctive red, crafted with minimal intervention and aged on its lees for six months. Its expression is vibrant: crisp red fruit enveloped in a balsamic aura, with lively acidity and sweet tannins that caress the palate.
