About Los Acilates

Los Acilates is a red wine from the Ribera del Guadiana. It is produced by the Alvear Winery, and is made from a blend of grapes native to the region.

The grapes used to make this wine come from only wine plot, which is also called Los Acilates, which is situated on steep slopes with calcareous soils.

Los Acilates is aged in French Oak barrels for around 12 months. Then, before being marketed, rests for 12 months more in the bottle.

Palacio Quemado is a project that was started by the Losada Serra Family and the Alvear Winery in 1999. The aim, to produce quality wines from Extremedura.

2011 Fruit-forward and expansive, it showcases silky tannins. It culminates in a delightful, fresh, and protracted finish.

A luminous, deep cherry-red with full coverage.

Subtle and exquisitely elegant. Floral sensations and balsamic notes meld over a spiced and mineral backdrop.
2010 Broad and fruity on the palate with lots of personality. Very fine, silky tannins. Very long and fresh finish.

Picota red colour, well covered.

Subtle, elegant nose. Very complex. Floral aromas and balsamic touches with spicy and mineral overtones.
