Kistler Dutton Ranch Chardonnay is a wood-aged white wine made with the Chardonnay variety by Kistler Vineyards in AVA Sonoma Valley, in California (USA).
Kistler was founded in 1978 by Steve Kistler and Mark Bixler with the aim of making Bordeaux-style Grand Crus on the west coast of North America. They have worked meticulously and intensely and have managed to create small productions that are sought after around the world and hard to come by. But now you can order from Decántalo and have it delivered to your home.
Kistler Dutton Ranch Chardonnay comes from vineyards located between the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast denominations. The vines are planted in sandy soils owned by the Dutton family, expert winemakers who, since the beginning of the project, have worked to produce top quality grapes. They are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture with very limited yields and the harvest takes place at night.
In the winery, the Kistler Dutton Ranch Chardonnay grapes are carefully selected and pressed to undergo minimal intervention vinification. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts at a moderate temperature and aging happens in wooden barrels for 12 months.
Kistler Dutton Ranch Chardonnay is a cult Chardonnay. A precision white wine with great aromatic exuberance and irresistible freshness.
