About Judith Beck Bambule! Zweigelt

It's called Bambule!, and its name says it all. A shout, a declaration, a wine that does not go unnoticed. It's a zweigelt that arrives with vigour and character, demonstrating from the very first sip that it's here to make its presence felt, unafraid to break rules and challenge expectations.

Behind this bottle lies the project of Judith Beck, an Austrian winemaker who has made naturalness and authenticity the core of her work. From her vineyards in Burgenland (Austria), Beck tends each plot with environmental respect and minimal intervention, allowing the grape to speak powerfully and the terroir to express its identity. Her wines are genuine, natural, and full of character, a reflection of an approach that blends freedom, tradition, and creativity.

Judith Beck Bambule! Zweigelt hails from the Kurzberg vineyard, situated on a hillside, where the grapes fall directly into the vat after destemming, mostly intact. They are protected with carbon dioxide and left to macerate for 2-3 weeks, a technique that allows the aromas to fully develop and the tannins to retain their softness and juiciness.

After pressing, fermentation continues in barrels for 8-12 months, where the wine gains complexity without losing its freshness or expressive strength. The result is a vibrant red, a wine that makes its presence known, enchanting with its character and rewarding those who take the time to explore all its layers of flavour.
