Inglenook Blancaneaux 2019 is a complex, very delicate and sophisticated white. The nose is very elegant and floral, with hints of roses, lime and fruit notes (pear, apricot, lychee, molasses). The palate is round, fresh and opulent, with a very refined style. Very attractive finish.

About Inglenook Blancaneaux

He has been delighting us for years with his films: Apocalypse Now, Dracula, The Godfather (the first two did better than the third). But now, Francis Ford Coppola is back with Inglenook Blancaneaux, a wine that this film director has made in order to keep telling stories.

He didn’t write this new story by himself though. He is joined by his wife, Leonor Coppola, and his children, Roman and Sofia, who also have a part to play in this adventure, which started in California, in the A.V.A. Rutherford. Here in the Napa Valley, the film director bought part of Inglenook in 1975, a century-old winery that he has been gradually recovering, and where he discovered paradise itself. Now, little by little, the family has succeeded in rebuilding the property by reuniting the 95 hectares of vineyards that grow on a wide variety of well-drained clay soils, organically cultivating different varieties (for Inglenook Blancaneaux, they use Marsanne, Roussane and Viognier).

Inglenook Blancaneaux is made in the image and likeness of Rubicon, the great red wine from this winery: carefully, and always looking for the best yields of these varieties. Finally, and following a period of aging on its lees, which varies depending on the vintage, Inglenook Blancaneaux is blended, marking the culmination of a story worthy of an Oscar.
