About Dominio Romano

Dominio Romano has a very clear objective: to carry the character of the tinto fino and some of the best land in the region all the way to the glass.
Dominio Romano is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made from 100% Tinto Fino grapes from grapes around 30 years old. The grapes undergo a pellicular maceration for 7 days, and ferment and macerate for not very long. This wine is aged for 13 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels of 400 l. It is bottled without being stabilized and with minimum filtering. Natural sediments can sometimes be found in the bottle.
This wine is without a doubt a perfect melody of delightful aromas of red and black fruit which gradually, as if it were a game, give way to new shades (liquorice, spices, cocoa…)
It is recommended decanting this wine an hour before serving.
2011 Good and embracing attack and a good, very tasty mid palate with a silky and smooth texture. The notes felt in the nose are noticed again with a greater intensity of the notes of fruit, toast, and especially the herbs and the outstanding balsamic aromas. It has a good acidity and nice tannins that still need some time to round out. Lingering finish with very pleasant fruity sensations.

Intense and very bright cherry red colour. Medium robe. Very well bodied tears.

The aromas of ripe red and black fruits, with a touch of jam are released along with herbal notes, good toasted aromas, spicy touches and hints of animal leather. A wine that gains in intensity as it opens up.

2006 Wide and voluminous attack. Soft and velvety palate with lots of fresh and sweet fruit. Good presence of tannins, which are not completely polished. Not very long but persistent finish.

Intense and very bright maroon colour. Midium robe.

Many notes of black and red fruit dominate the nose. Initially, aromas are subtle but when it opens up, the fruit gains lots of strength and power and delicate floral notes appear along with toasted and balsamic hints.
2005 In the mouth it is elegant and balanced, with a predominance of fruit characters and an end very fresh and clean.

Dark garnet color.

It has a nose full of fruit nuances, red fruit jams and balsamic.
