About Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligoté

Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligoté is an organic monovarietal Aligoté white wine from the AOC Bouzeron produced by Domaine de Villaine.

Domaine de Villaine is a winery installed in Bouzeron, the first village of Côte Chalonnaise, in the south of Beaune, in Burgundy. Its vineyards are found mostly on slopes located between 270 and 350 metres above sea level, on poor soils with a high limestone content. In order to make great wines, it strives to ensure that its grapes ripen optimally and are perfectly healthy. To achieve this they have cultivated organically with certification since 1997.

The vineyards for Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligoté are located in the best hills of the appellation. The strains are between 10 and 90 years old and between all the plots cover a total area of around 12.5 hectares.

The grapes for Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligoté are selected and classified by hand. Then, once in the cellar, the whole bunches are gently pressed to obtain juices that are clear and without astringency. The musts obtained ferment in barrels, foudres and vats with temperature control to maintain the freshness and aromas of the grape. Lastly, the wine undergoes ageing for 10 to 12 months in foudres.

Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligoté is the only Aligoté produced by Domaine de Villaine. It is a fruity, delicate and rounded white wine.
2017 Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligoté 2017 Domaine de Villaine Bouzeron Aligoté 2017 is a white with intense aromas on the nose and with floral notes and those of white flowers, complemented on the palate by a pleasant sensation of white pulp fruit. In addition, its fresh acidity is very well compensated by salty and mineral touches.
