Dido Blanc 2023 is a white wine that epitomises the generosity of the vintage with a freshness and purity that render each sip elegant and precise. About Dido Blanc

Dido Blanc is a white wine from DO Montsant crafted by Venus La Universal. This wine is a blend of macabeo, garnacha blanca, and xarelo grape varieties.

The grapes used for Dido Blanc are sourced from various plots within the DO Montsant. Two of the estates boast vines over 70 years old, while the third, from which the garnacha blanca and macabeo grapes are derived, has an average vine age of 25 years.

After the harvest, the grapes are swiftly transported to the winery. There, 15% of the clusters undergo skin maceration for about three to five days in open barrels; another 20% also macerates with skins but for 24 hours, and the remaining quantity is directly pressed.

Once the must for Dido Blanc is obtained, it matures for several months. 30% rests in clay amphorae and the remaining 70% in barrels.

Venus La Universal is one of the most prestigious wineries in Montsant. It was established in the town of Falset in 1999.

Dido Blanc 2022 is a slightly full-bodied and aromatic white wine. On the nose, it features notes of green apple and peach, accompanied by a hint of citrus. On the palate, its passage is creamy due to its barrel aging, offering a smooth and pleasant texture. It is a balanced wine that combines freshness and body, ideal for those seeking a white with character and elegance.
2021 is an invigorating white wine that on the nose presents a bouquet of refreshing citrus and fruity aromas, featuring fruits such as apple and mango, complemented by subtle floral notes. On the palate, it glides with a pleasing fullness, showcasing its prominent yet well-defined acidity. An undeniably elegant white wine, it is crisp and refined, culminating in a dry finish with a slight and agreeable hint of bitterness.

2010 Elegant and complex wine which coats the mouth. It has a very wide and bulky attack and a silky and tasty, very fresh mid palate. The notes of fruit are released with strength along with some herbal aromas on an impressive mineral background. Excellent acidity and a very long and very persistent finish with a rich mineral background. Very elegant, very mineral and tasty white wine from Montsant. A very enjoyable wine.

Dido is an elegant and intense mineral wine. When it opens up, the notes of white and tropical fruit are felt along with the aromas of Mediterranean herbs mixed with a mineral touch on a good background of smoked, roasted and snuff notes. A very harmonious bouquet.
2009 Elegant and powerful attack, with an unctuous mid palate. It fills the mouth with fruity flavours and touches of citrus that grow stronger little by little. Good acidity. Long and persistent finish and a herbal aftertaste. An elegant and delicious Montsant white wine.
