Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec is a biodynamic white wine cask made by Domaine Huet with the Chenin blanc variety in the AOC Vouvray appellation, in Loire (France).
 
Domaine Huet is one of the leading wineries in the Loire Valley for their great white wines made from the star Chenin Blanc variety. Pure, transparent and balanced wines that, following the death of their great creator Gastón Huet, his son-in-law Noël Pinguet and New York businessman Anthony Hwang continue under the guidelines of the prestigious winemaker Jean-Bernard Berthomé.
 
Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec comes from a 6-hectare clos. One of the oldest vineyards of the Denomination of Origin, which is located at the foot of the Loire river and whose deep soils are of clay-limestone. Biodynamic agriculture is practiced and harvest is carried out by manual selection in the vineyard itself.
 
The bunches of Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec are brought to the presses without crushing or treading. After a gentle pressing and a 24-hour racking, the must obtained is separated into two parts. Half ferments in stainless steel tanks and the other half in used barrels, spontaneously and with native yeasts. Finally, it ages in French oak barrels.
 
Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec is a white wine which beautifully combines sweetness and minerality. A delicious Chenin blanc with impressive purity and vitality.
 
2017 Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec 2017 is a creamy white wine with aromas of white and stone fruit, citrus notes and mineral touches. On the palate it’s powerful, unctuous and very lively. A wine with very fine tannins, brilliant acidity and a contrast of salinity with wonderful sweetness.
