About Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé

We’ll never go wrong with a Chapoutier. A real gem. It was a pleasure to taste the Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé. 
 
On this occasion, thanks are due to his daughter, Mathilde Chapoutier, who was the one who found Château des Ferrages in Pourcieux right in the A.O.C Côtes de Provence Saint Victoire. In principle, some of its structure and elements weren’t there anymore, but what they were able to recover were the 28 hectares of vineyards surrounding the property. This was really the important thing. You can’t do anything without grapes. As for the rest of the facilities, they were gradually replaced, using the latest state-of-the-art equipment and the latest models. 
 
However, despite all this modernity, the philosophy at Château des Ferrages was to be traditional, as always, making wine as it had always been made and in the most natural way possible. The grapes are harvested mechanically, at night, in order to keep the bunches in the best possible condition. To make Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé, we are talking about varieties like Garnacha Tinta, Syrah and Vermentino. All of these grapes grow on a mixture of clay and calcareous soils, with a certain amount of sand, in plots located in Pourcieux and Pourrières (at the foot of the Aurélien and Sainte-Victoire mountains). The cool Mediterranean climate will ensure that these clusters do not ripen excessively, maintaining a low pH and creating wines with a tremendously tasty natural acidity. 
 
In the winery, Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé is directly pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé will then be aged on the lees for a few months in these same tanks, softening some of the character and power that characterise it. 
 
As you can see, the production of Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé has hardly any secrets. It’s very simple. But most of the time the best things are the most simple. Thank you Chapoutier family for the Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé. The pleasure is always ours. 
 
2022

Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé 2022 is a fresh, clean, and vibrant rosé, exhibiting pale and crystalline hues. On the nose, it is very enticing, with aromas of red fruits, white flowers, strawberry, peach, grapefruit, and hawthorn. On the palate, it is structured and silky, with volume, rounded and airy. A delightful finish with a strawberry flavour.
2021

Pale, radiant, and pristine. The sight alone will beckon you to desire a glass of Château des Ferrages Mon Plaisir Rosé 2021, a rosé that is fresh, well-rounded, and exudes sophistication, brimming with fruitiness. The bouquet reveals an array of red berries (strawberries), white blossoms, peach, grapefruit, and hawthorn. On the palate, it is delightful, with soft and silky tannins. Exceptionally drinkable. Perfect for socializing with friends.
