About Castellroig Reserva Brut

There are sparkling wines that seek an occasion, and others, like Castellroig Reserva Brut, that create one.
 
In the heart of the Penedès, just a few kilometres from the sea and close enough to Barcelona to feel its pulse, lies the family estate of Sabaté i Coca: a mosaic of vineyards that has grown over time, much like things that are truly cared for. Four generations later, the family continues to tend the land with an almost stubborn calmness, as if each plot has something to say if you listen closely enough. Marcel Sabaté, oenologist and guardian of it all, has transformed this landscape into an intimate map of soils, microclimates, and nuances that only reveal themselves with patience.
 
Castellroig Reserva Brut is born from this very place, but it doesn't seek to explain everything. It is a sparkling wine crafted from the silent diversity of the estate, from vineyards that ripen a little more slowly, as if taking their time before speaking. Xarel·lo, macabeo, parellada, and a touch of chardonnay come together here naturally, having been worked separately, like distinct conversations that eventually converge at the same table. Then time plays its part, refining the whole without imposing.
 
In the glass, Castellroig Reserva Brut is luminous, direct, with a freshness reminiscent of open afternoons, unhurried tables, and things that don't need much explanation to work.
