About Calvados Roger Groult Du Pays D’Auge

Calvados Roger Groult Du Pays D’Auge is produced using hand-picked cidre apples from the Pays d'Auge region. They are double distilled on firewood and later aged and mixed in old French oak casks. They are then ready to be bottled on the estate. This Calvados tastes of pure fruit and can be enjoyed as an aperitif, in cocktails or on its own.

Roger Groult is a family-owned business that has endured various generations. It all started in the 18th Century, when the Groult family settled down in "Clos de la Hurvanière," a pretty farm in the Pays d'Auge countryside. Decades later, Pierre Groult produced a Calvados that quickly gained recognition. His son Leon developed production on a regional level, but it is thanks to Pierre's nephew, Roger Groult, that this distillery reached its peak. It later passed to Jean-Pierre and finally Jean-Roger, who continues the family tradition.
