Barraco Terre Siciliane Zibibbo is an orange wine made by Nino Barraco with the Zibbibo variety in the IGT Terre Siciliane, in Sicily (Italy).
Originally from Marsala, in the province of Trapani, on the western coast of Sicily, Nino Barraco is one of the key winemakers on this Italian island. Using biological principles both in the vineyard and in the winery, their wines are a pure expression of a unique territory.
Barraco Terre Siciliane Zibibbo comes from vineyards planted on limestone soils in the Marsala area and very close to the sea. The vines are ecologically cultivated without using chemical products that could harm the natural balance and the work is completely manual.
Barraco Terre Siciliane Zibibbo is made using ancient, artisan methods. This wine undergoes a special production process involving skin-contact maceration for 3 to 4 days and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. It is then aged for 8 months in steel tanks. Finally, it is bottled without being filtered, clarified or adding sulphites.
Barraco Terre Siciliane Zibibbo is an orange wine with great structure and depth. A masterpiece of Sicilian oenology.
