Werlitsch Drei Generationen

2017

Tasting notes Werlitsch Drei Generationen 2017
White wine Aged in wood Biodynamic, Natural, Organic and Vegan. 24 months in oak barrels.
Werlitsch Drei Generationen 2017 is an aromatic and profiled white wine with aromas of musk, jasmine and passion fruit on the nose, accompanied by notes of dried fruits, wet flint and hay. On the palate its complexity is clear and it reveals touches of papaya, apple, pineapple and lychees. A white wine with an exotic, mineral and saline touch.Young |

About Werlitsch Drei Generationen
Werlitsch Drei Generationen is a natural white wine made with Muskateller and other white varieties from the estate by Weingut Werlitsch in Südsteiermark, Styria, Austria.
To make the Werlitsch Drei Generationen wine, the grapes are crushed and undergo a few days of skin-contact maceration. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts and the resulting wine is aged in large wooden barrels for two years. After this time, the wine is bottled without adding sulphites and is left to rest for another year in the cellar to finish refining before being sold. As well as the Muskateller variety, this wine also includes varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling, Traminer and Chardonnay.
Weingut Werlitsch is a winery that is located on the southern Styria wine route, in the municipality of Glanz and has a winemaking history dating back to the 17th century. Winemaker Ewald Tscheppe was the one who chose the winery's name in 2004 when he took over the business from his father, as a tribute to the original name of this century-old estate. Tscheppe is a passionate believer in following the principles of biodynamic agriculture and intervening as little as possible in the structure of a wine, which results in authentic wines that are sometimes a far cry from more conventional productions. In short, these are wines of extraordinary quality that are quite an experience.
