About Vincent Gaudry Sancerre Le Tournebride

Being connected to the earth is the state of experiencing a harmonious connection with the energy of the earth. A state that in principle comes as standard but that, many times, because of our accelerated, busy and chaotic life, is altered. Someone who pays great attention to this is Vincent Gaudry, a biodynamic vigneron who, on the 11 hectares he inherited from his father in the small hamlet of Le Petit Chambre, at the foot of the hill of Sancerre (Loire), enjoys an almost spiritual connection with his land and his vineyards. Based on the idea of trusting in nature, his range of wines shows the most authentic expression of the three types of soils that exist in the region: limestone clay, flint and stony limestone. Harmonious wines, each with its own nuances, but all with great balance and character.

Vincent Gaudry Sancerre Le Tournebride is a single varietal sauvignon blanc made from a blend of vines from these three different soils. They are cultivated using biodynamic agriculture with official Demeter certification and harvesting is carried out by hand at the optimum point of ripeness. Once in the cellar, minimal intervention winemaking is carried out. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then spends another 8 months on its lees in these same tanks. Finally, it is bottled without clarifying or filtering.

Without any woody affectation and with a fresh and elegant profile, Vincent Gaudry Sancerre Le Tournebride is a wine that breathes pure harmony. A white wine resulting from the symbiosis of three terroirs that connects you to the earth you in one sip.

Vincent Gaudry Sancerre Le Tournebride 2020 is a white wine outlined with citrus aromas, notes of white fruit and hints of flint. The palate is crisp, taut and precise. A wine with vibrant acidity, assertive minerality and good balance through to the finish.
