About Sa Forana

Sa Forana is a red wine produced by Celler Solano de Menorca in Sant Climent, V.T. Illa de Menorca.
 

Celler Solano de Menorca is a family-run winery. In 2003, they planted almost 3 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay vines in the Cugullonet Nou farm . After some years of experimenting, in 2008, with the opening of their own winery, they started to produce wines with high quality standards.
 

Sa Forana is a red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Tempranillo, planted on stony, calcareous soils. Harvest is performed by hand. Cold destemming and maceration. Each variety ferments separately in stainless steal deposits. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot age for 6 months in new and second use barrels, and Syrah and Tempranillo age for the same period of time in deposits.
 

 

2019

Sa Forana 2019 is a silky wine, with fruity notes and slight toasting. Wine with body and a mild atmosphere.
