On the nose, it offers a subtle and complex combination of tropical fruits, banana, and white fruits, along with notes of vanilla, pepper, and clove. On the palate, it is silky and well-structured, with a refreshing acidity. The flavors of toffee, toasted bread, and coffee beans, resulting from its barrel fermentation, are perfectly integrated. Creamy finish with clear toffee notes on the retronasal.

Monte Real Blanco Fermentado en Barrica is a white wine from the appellation of origin (D.O) La Rioja produced by Bodegas Riojanas. This wine is a blend of Viura (90%) and Malvasi de Rioja (10%).

The grapes used by Monte Real Blanco Fermentado en Barrica originate entirely from the town of Cenicero.

The harvest is completed by hand and the grapes are transported to the winery in trailers with a 3000kg weight capacity. The harvest is conducted at a slightly later date in order to achieve an effect of over ripening.

The must of Monte Real Blanco Fermentado en Barrica is obtained after a few hours of maceration during in which no pressure is applied.

The fermentation process is conducted in stainless steel containers at a low temperature.

Finally, Monte Real Blanco Fermentado en Barrica is aged for 4 months on its lees with daily stirrings to gain volume.
