“Esventat,” a Catalan term denoting someone who has been marked by the force of the Tramuntana wind, encapsulates the influence of this region's most iconic breeze. It refers to something that has been sculpted by its passage, something that has not only endured its intensity but has also been left with a distinctive, unique imprint. The Tramuntana, with its cold and rugged character, not only shapes the landscape but also influences what grows within it, endowing the land with a personality as strong as the wind itself.

Mas LLunes, a winery touched by the Tramuntana, has its roots deeply embedded in the history of the village of Garriguella, at the heart of Empordà (Catalonia), nestled between the blue of the Mediterranean and the white of the Canigó massif, two forces that have also shaped its terroir and its wines.

Mas Llunes Esventat Blanc, a wine made entirely from garnacha blanca, reflects a unique land, with slate soils that absorb the essence of this characteristic wind. The harvest, conducted manually, and the fermentation process, carried out in contact with the grape skins, capture the essence of Empordà’s wild nature. A meticulous and minimalist process, with no added sulphites, results in a pure, authentic wine that embodies the region's identity.
