Jean Lallement Brut is a creamy sparkling wine with a fine and abundant effervescence and a complex nose of stone fruits and tropical notes. On the palate it is frank, sweet and well balanced. An unctuous and enveloping champagne with a subtle finish of sweet and fiery spices.
Jean Lallement Brut is a Jean Lallement Et Fils sparkling wine made with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes in the AOC Champagne, in Champagne (France).
Jean Lallement Et Fils is a small winery that produces no more than 20,000 bottles a year and is a Goliath among other great companies in the area. They really know how to make the most of their 4.5 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. This wine is a distinctly family-made Pinot Noir style that is on a par with other great and well-known brands in the area.
Jean Lallement Brut comes from vineyards located in Verzenay and Verzy, villages in the Champagne region. These are Grand Cru vineyards spread over more than 20 plots. With an average age of about 30 years old and planted mostly on extremely limestone soils, the vines are cultivated using traditional agriculture until they reach optimum ripeness.
The grapes are always harvested by hand and when they reach the winery the base wine is made with native yeasts and always separately according to their different soils or ages. Then the second fermentation takes place in the bottle following the champenoise method and finally a dosage of between 3 and 8 gr./l is added.
Considering that historically, the Verzenay Grand Cru have been considered to be the vineyards that give the best Pinot Noir base wines in Champagne, Jean Lallement Brut is proof of this. A bold and powerful, small production champagne that is on a par with the local giants.
