About Hajszan Neumann Natural Muskateller
Hajszan Neumann Natural Muskateller is a biodynamic, natural, ecological orange wine made from the muscat variety by Hajszan Neumann in the city of Vienna (Austria).
Hajszan Neumann is a winery located in Vienna. A wine-growing district called Grinzing which is located at the foot of the Nussberg Mountain. It consists of a winery which, despite being located in the city center, supports the production of sustainable, natural, biodynamic wines. Quality unadulterated productions, which authentically express the mineral terroir so characteristic of the area.
Hajszan Neumann Natural Muskateller grapes mainly come from a vineyard where the soils are composed of limestone, clay and with a high chalk content. They’re biodynamic vineyards cultivated under the anthroposophist precepts of Rudolf Steiner and without using of herbicides, pesticides or other chemical products.
After meticulously selecting the Hajszan Neumann Natural Muskateller grapes by hand, the grapes are crushed and spontaneous fermentation begins in concrete eggs, without the addition of sulfur or external yeasts. The wine is then separated from the skins and left to mature in used 500-liter barrels for about 6 weeks. Lastly, it’s bottled without being clarified or filtered and launched to the market 4 months later.
Made without additives, Hajszan Neumann Natural Muskateller is a natural wine which is made in the most sustainable way despite originating in the city. An orange wine which offers juiciness and fragrance.
2018 | Hajszan Neumann Natural Muskateller 2018 is an aromatic orange wine with lychee fragrances, floral willow notes and hints of nuts. On the palate it shows a fresh acidity, a juicy structure and marked but pleasant and elegant tannins. |
