About Enrique Mendoza Merlot Monastrell Crianza
Enrique Mendoza Merlot-Monastrell is a red wine made by the Enrique Mendoza winery. Enrique Mendoza has two warehouses, one for aging in the town of Alfaz del Pi and other for development in the city of Villena, both in Alicante.
Enrique Mendoza Merlot-Monastrell is, as its name suggests, a blend of equal parts Merlot and Monastrell varieties. The grapes come from the Finca El Chaconero, where vineyards are cultivated on sandy and loamy soils.
For processing, the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26 ° C for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation is subsequently performed in oak barrels.
Finally, Enrique Mendoza Merlot-Monastrell is aged for 13 months in barrels of French and American oak.
Before hitting the market, it is neither clarified nor filtered.

2007 | Warm, tasty and silky wine. The notes of fruit are released along with the creamy aromas provided by the oak on a herbal background. Its ripe tannins are felt. Excellent acidity and a good finish that leaves tasty sensations with a medium persistence.
An elegant red wine with character. Intense ruby â??â??red colour with maroon edges. Bright and good tears. High robe. Medium intensity aromas. Its marked notes of red fruit are mixed with the herbal, undergrowth and aromatic touches. When it opens up, the elegant floral aromas appear along with the toasted and smoked notes and very expressive and complex spices. |
