Domiziano Arilà Salento Rosato 2022 beckons us to uncover the quintessence of summer encapsulated within a glass. Its radiant red hue gleams with promises of cool refreshment. As we draw closer, we are greeted by a kaleidoscope of scents where red currant, hibiscus, rosehip, and pink grapefruit intertwine, conjuring a bouquet reminiscent of a stroll through an orchard in bloom. Upon tasting, its lightness and crisp texture pirouette on the palate, whilst a lingering finish with mineral undertones leaves us with an enduring impression of Apulia's sun-drenched terroir.

About Domiziano Arilà Salento Rosato

It is often said that behind every great man there is a great woman. While this proverb may have originated in historical contexts where women's achievements were not as publicly acknowledged, it is now essential to recognize and celebrate the role of all individuals who create a robust support system and contribute to someone's success, regardless of gender. In the case of Vincenzo, a young and dynamic winemaker who in 2018 inherited his grandfather Giuseppe's passion for winemaking in the town of Mesagne, in Salento (Italy), he pays homage to the unwavering support of his mother Arianna and sister Laura by naming one of his wines after them: Arilà.

For the production of Domiziano Arilà Salento Rosato, Vincenzo chose to revive the old vineyards of the negroamaro and malvasía nera varieties in the region of Apulia. These ancient vines, deeply rooted in clay soil, are cultivated organically. Following the manual harvest, the grapes are promptly transported to the winery where they are meticulously sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is refined for 3 months on fine lees.

Domiziano Arilà Salento Rosato is not only the product of Vincenzo's passion and dedication as a winemaker, but also a living tribute to the love and unwavering support of his mother Arianna and sister Laura. Undoubtedly, it is a fresh, fruity, and summery rosé wine that serves as a true inspiration under the IGT Salento designation.
