Coravin vintage needle is a needle for the Coravin system. 

 

The innovative Coravin system allows you to serve a glass of wine without uncorking the bottle. Keep the rest of the wine and enjoy it later on, without it losing its properties, with all its aroma and flavour intact.

 

The Coravin vintage needle is thinner than our standard needle, which is initially included in the Coravin system. It is made of stainless steel and Teflon coated, providing durability and easy insertion. It has a hollow bore specially designed for the correct extraction of the wine. The Coravin vintage needle is designed for the extraction of wine from the older bottles of the winery. The thinner needle will be gentler on the cork, resulting in a slower and more delicate pour.

With a length of 9.14 cm, it allows you to empty the entire bottle in 53-57 seconds.

All the Coravin needles are compatible with the different models and wine systems by Coravin.

 

The Coravin system was created by Greg Lambert, an engineer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, when his wife became pregnant and stopped drinking wine. The passion of this engineer for good wines along with the need to avoid wasting the rest of the wine from bottles he uncorked and did not finish, led him to design a prototype that has revolutionised the world of wine. Since then, we are able to enjoy great wines without having to finish the entire bottle.
