About Château des Ferrages Roumery Rouge
Beaches, tourism, yachts, parties, the Mediterranean, and glamour. An abundance of glamour. For years, the Costa Azul has been a sanctuary for the famous and the celebrated, a place where they've spent their summers and savored their finest moments (and weathered the worst). Fancy a gathering at La Pausa (Coco Chanel's summer abode) with Picasso, Cocteau, Dalí, Churchill, and Greta Garbo? Worry not, no invitation is required. All that's needed is a bottle of Château des Ferrages Roumery.
Indeed, it would seem more appropriate in the heart of A.O.C. Côtes de Provence to suggest a fine rosé rather than a red; yet, we are confident that Château des Ferrages Roumery Rouge will not disappoint, especially with the Chapoutier family behind it. Château de Ferrages is situated in Pourcieux, nestled between Aix-en-Provence and Saint-Maximin, where rosé wine is more of an imperative than a tradition. Nevertheless, in this locale at the foot of Mount Aurélien and the Sainte-Victoire mountain, where red clay soils and the Mediterranean climate are prevalent, the Chapoutier family has also discovered exceptionally intriguing terrain for white and red wines.
Thus, Château des Ferrages Roumery Rouge carves out a niche for itself amongst the typical wines of the region; and it does so with relative ease (it must be said); all thanks to its quality and flavor. In this regard, Château des Ferrages Roumery Rouge is beyond reproach, with grapes cultivated biodynamically, where the rest of the ecosystem is treated with the utmost respect. Although the harvest is mechanized, meticulous care is taken during cultivation, harvesting, and production. In the cellar, Château des Ferrages Roumery Rouge undergoes an extended maceration period, beginning fermentation in stainless steel vats. Once the process is complete, with temperature meticulously controlled, Château des Ferrages Roumery Rouge is racked and then transferred back into stainless steel vats for aging. Here it will remain for about nine months, until the moment of bottling.
Château des Ferrages Roumery Rouge is a true indulgence. A luxurious treat for the senses. We wager that it will leave you anything but indifferent…
