Château des Ferrages Roumery Blanc

White wine Biodynamic.
Château des Ferrages Roumery Blanc 2015 is an aromatic white, bright and clean in colour. The nose is very intense, starting very subtle and gradually opening up to notes of apple, dried flowers, nuts and honey. The palate is elegant, with white flowers, lavender, quince and dried apricots. Smooth and elegant, with an almost sharp acidity. Curious to say the least.

About Château des Ferrages Roumery Blanc
First it was rosés, but they soon realised that there was also room for other wines. Mathilde Chapoutier, daughter of the famous négociant Michel Chapoutier, also found the best soils for whites and reds in the Pourcieux area (in Provence). This is where Château des Ferrages Roumery Blanc was born.
Currently the commercial director of her father’s empire, Mathilde Chapoutier knows what she is doing. She has a nose for it. For this reason, she travels around the world, searching for the best terroirs to make her wines. In Provence, in the French AOC Côtes de Provence, she has found clayey and calcareous soils that are poor in organic matter, where the Clairette and Ugni Blanc she uses for this white wine grow. For three decades, the Chapoutier house has been at the forefront of a biodynamic revolution that was started by Michel Chapoutier. Since then, all cultivation and work in the vineyard has been carried out manually and by hand, respecting the flora and ecosystem of each vineyard.
Today Château des Ferrages owns 28 hectares of vineyards and a winery of about 1000 m with state-of-the-art facilities, where more modern techniques are combined with much more traditional aging processes. Château des Ferrages Roumery Blanc is mechanically harvested at night, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
As the saying goes: things always comes in threes. Château des Ferrages Roumery Blanc also produces rosé and red wines. A collection not to be missed!
