About Cara Nord Blanc
Cara Nord Blanc is a white wine from the Conca de Barberà region and is produced by Cara Nord. This wine is a blend of 2 grape varieties, Chardonnay, Trepat and Macabeo.
The grapes used by Cara Nord Blanc are grown in plots surrounded by mountains and forests at around 800 metres above sea level.
The vineyards are planted in poor soils composed of slate, and limestone. In regards to the climate, the nights are cold, which allows the vineyard to rest and slows the accumulation of sugars.
The vineyard grows the vines using dryland viticulture. The vitculture maximises efforts to minimise the the envionmental impact and prioritse the enivironment.
Upon entering the Winery, the grapes are fermented at a constant temperatura of 16º. Before being botelled, Cara Nord Blanc then ages for 3 months on its lees.
Cara Nord is a young winery, founded in 2012. However, the climate, the history of the region and the terroir without a doubt help Cara Nord produce wines of exceptional quality.

2014 | Velvety and remarkably crisp. It boasts a delightful tartness coupled with a pleasing creaminess. Exhibits a protracted finish, demonstrating tenacity. A shimmering pale yellow hue. A backdrop of floral and white fruit nuances. Exotic scents and mineral notes interlace. |
|
2013 | Unctuous on the palate with good acidity. The citric notes and lightly flavoured white fruit, mellow minerality and medium persistence are prominent.
