Azienda Agricola Camparo Blanco DOC Langhe

Since its establishment in 1994, the D.O.C. Langhe has been steadily building its reputation. This acclaim is well-deserved, as innovative processes and consistent quality have underscored the trajectory of this northern Italy denomination created to encompass those productions that fell outside the purview of the eminent names of Piedmont (such as Barolo, Barbera d’Alba, or Barbaresco).

Here, in the heart of Piedmont, lies the Azienda Agricola Camparo, a family-run enterprise steered by the Drocco family. For more than three generations, this family has intertwined its legacy with this land, a cradle of wines and hazelnuts, sprawling over hills in the towns of Diano D’Alba, La Morra, and Grinzane. The winery itself proclaims these three locales as the region's prime areas. Perhaps this distinction is due to their clay-limestone soil or the south-southeastern exposure of their vineyards; or perhaps it is the fervor with which they cultivate their vines, always adhering to an ecological approach and the utmost respect for the environment (Azienda Agrícola Camparo was the first producer in the area to commit to it).

The Azienda Agricola Camparo Blanco DOC Langhe is a white wine crafted in this very manner. Specifically, it is a white blend, a coupage of arneis and favorita (two varietals indigenous to the area). The Azienda Agricola Camparo Blanco DOC Langhe 2020 is hand-harvested at 250 meters above sea level. From here, it is transported directly to the winery, where the grapes are pressed in two stages. The first, the gentler press known as free-run juice, will ferment at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. Following this process, the Azienda Agricola Camparo Blanco DOC Langhe 2020 will spend approximately 10 months in the cellar, maturing, until it reaches its full potential and is ready to be unveiled, astounding all wine enthusiasts and living up to the high expectations placed upon it.
