About Binifadet Merlot Jove Rosat

Binifadet Rosado is a rosé wine produced by Bodegas Binifadet in Sant Lluís, V.T. Illa de Menorca.

 

In 1979, Carlos Anglés decided to plant his first vineyard in the Island of Menorca with several varieties of vines. The experience of several harvests led him to expand the vineyards with those vines that best adapted to the climatology of the island. After years of dedication to the production of wine for his family, and after building a new winery, in May of 2004, his first wines were released on the market.

Currently, Bodegas Binifadet (name of the farm acquired in 2001) works with 12 hectares planted in the south of the island, where the tidal calcareous soil is covered by a clayey layer. The climate is clearly Mediterranean, with scarce rainfall concentrated in autumn, with exposure to the intense winds that affect the island, especially the Tramontane.

 

Binifadet Rosado is a wine made from Merlot, selected from the best plots of the Binifadet farm in the south of the island.

Harvest is performed by hand. Once the harvest arrives at the winery, it ferments in stainless steel deposits at controlled temperature, 17°C. It does not go through malolactic fermentation. Before bottling, the wine goes through cold stabilisation.

 

Binifadet Rosado is a fruity, balanced and persistent wine. Its freshness is quite surprising, within a marked Mediterranean character.

2006 Mouth is alive, round, fresh and opulent. At the end leaves a fresh feeling, fruity and sweet with great harmony.

Presents an intense cherry color very elegant, lively and brilliant.

Aromas of red fruits, especially strawberry and cherry, with touches of balsam, menthol and spices.
