About A Pèl Blanc

A Pèl Blanc is a natural white wine made by Bodega Loxarel in the D.O. Penedès.

It's a Xarel·lo single-varietal, and the grapes come from the winery's vineyards planted in Finca Can Mayol at at altitude of 250 metres above sea level. Bodega Loxarel grow their vines according to the principles of organic and biodynamic farming.

"A pel" in Catalan means "uncovered". Natural, unprotected, uncovered. In the case of A Pèl Blanc, no product is added. It ferments with wild yeasts, and no sulphites are added. It is not subject to any process, filtration of stabilisation.

2013 Fresh on the palate. Unctuous, fills the mouth. Good acidity.

A straw yellow colour, somewhat murky since it hasn't been filtered.

White fruit and pineapple with a touch of lemon.
