Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Turckheim is a monovarietal Riesling white wine from of the AOC Alsace produced by Domaine Zind-Humbrecht.
Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is the result of the union in 1958 of two families with a long winemaking tradition. It is considered one of the best wineries in Alsace, and is currently run by Olivier Humbrecht, who was the first Master of Wine in France. The winery has been cultivating biodynamically since 1997.
Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Turckheim comes mainly from a vineyard located in Herrenweg with warm alluvial soil. It is a rather old vineyard, over 40 years old. Its approximate yields are 60 hectolitres per hectare. The fermentation of the harvest tends to be slow and the wine always remains in contact with its lees for a period of time. It also has a little residual sugar.
Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Turckheim is a wine with body. It is concentrated, a little reducing and with a great mineral character.
